Do any of these questions sound familiar?

  • Are your senior patients calling your office with issues you cannot solve?
  • Are late or missing appointments because they don’t have transportation?
  • Not consistently taking their prescribed medications?
  • Going to the hospital and need assistance packing, or someone to accompany them during the hospital?
  • Leaving rehabilitation or the hospital but need help recuperating at home?

Approved In Home Care can help.

Approved In Home Care provides professional, non-medical home-care for your senior patients who want to remain independent, safe, and healthy in their own homes. Our Personal Care Assistants can take your patients to their appointments on time,  and help improve hygiene care, offer better nutrition,  and follow Doctors orders.

Every Approved In Home Care Home Care caregiver is extensively screened, insured, and bonded to ensure our clients have the highest quality home care from experienced, reliable, trustworthy caregivers.  Our non-medical home care services are not covered by Medicare or Medicaid.  However, we file long term care insurance claims for reimbursement and talk with relatives to assist them with the help they need to live happier, healthier, more satisfying lives.

Our senior caregivers help maintain your patient’s health.  We assist with nutritious meal preparation, encourage compliance with physical therapy exercise,  implement lifestyle changes and help improve in home safety. We’ll also watch for and write down  physical changes or mental health issues which may indicate a shift in a patient’s mental state or condition.

We provide CNA’s and companions for seniors for patients in the hospital as well.  If your patient requires by the bed assistance for safety and companionship while hospitalized, we provide hospital sitter services. Our caregivers are specially trained in Alzheimer’s care and can assist patients with dementia who may have a challenging time during a hospital stay and are at an increased safety risk. We also offer a transitions program of care for seniors to assist with a safe discharge after completing a hospital or rehab stay.

Is this non-medical home care service covered by Medicare?

Medicare does pay for nurse visits for skilled medical home health needs.  However, Medicare does not pay for non-medical caregiver lengthy visits, or provide a caregiver for many reoccurring hours of care in the home. Frequently, patients need additional non-medical caregiver assistance beyond the short Medicare nurse visits to remain healthy and safe in their home. The Medicare company and Approved In Home Care coordinate schedules to assist patients with the best service, to avoid duplication of efforts.
